Annie B. started MVRU in 1994. She has been riding horses for 50 years, and brings to MVRU 30+ years of experience teaching humans how to develop safe, fair, and pleasurable relationships with horses through their pursuit of pleasure, companionship and sport.
Annie is 10 years CHA (Certified Horsemanship Association), Master Instructor and Assistant Clinic Instructor, 20 years PATH International Registered Instructor, certified in CPR, First Aid and AED. She is also a member of the US Eventing Association & Equestrians Institute.
Associate Director and Assistant Instructor
Jasmine has twenty years of experience working with various non-profits in the Pacific Northwest, including in the field of therapeutic horsemanship. She has competed in hunter/jumper shows and horse trials, but her true passion is dressage and riding to music.
She is certified as a therapeutic riding instructor through PATH Intl. and is working towards her Bronze Medal through the United States Dressage Federation. She is also First Aid, AED, and CPR certified.
Deb joined MVRU in 2016 to help organize our office and manage our administrative systems. Deb comes to us with an impressive resume, having served as the director of the Methow Valley Community School for several years and founded the social service organization, Room One.
She has a strong passion for helping young people thrive. Her daughter Syd has been riding with MVRU since she could walk, and now competes on the equestrian team. When Deb isn't busy raising children and helping improve our community, she also raises pigs.
Tulie has been riding horses for 15 years and has been involved with MVRU since she was born. She has been volunteering for MVRU since she was 10 and teaching horsemanship and training MVRU horses since 2005.
She is a current member of the US Eventing Association & Equestrian's Institute and has competed her 1st level dressage, training level eventing. Tulie has successfully completed her first Classic Format Training Level 3-day Event at Rebecca Farms in Montana in July of 2012. She is also First Aid, AED, and CPR certified.
Allison grew up in the Methow Valley, and has been riding for over 10 years. She has been involved with MVRU for 9 years; starting as a student, growing to a volunteer and now as an employee. She has taught riding at MVRU for 5 years. Allison is a graduate of Eastern Oregon University with a BS in Biology, and currently working towards Physical Therapy certification.
Allison is a PATH (Professional Association of Theraputic Horsemanship) International member. She is certified in CPR, First Aid and AED. She has attended Parelli and Buck Branaman clinics. Her horse interests focus on natural horsemanship, cattle work, dressage, long lining, and driving.
