Liz Blackman

Executive Director

Liz's horse journey began over 25 years ago while she was growing up in Dallas, Texas. Her recreational riding experiences were the foundation for a lifelong love of outdoor programming, conservation and education. Liz has over a decade of experience working in both outdoor and youth development non-profit management and business development. She brings to MVRU a passion for empathetic leadership, creative conflict resolution and a commitment to authenticity, deep listening, non-violent communication and collaboration.

Annie Budiselich

Founder, Program Director, Head Instructor/Trainer, PATH & CHA Certified

AB_1.JPGAnnie B founded MVRU in 1994 when she saw a need for a therapeutic riding center in the community. She has been riding horses for 50 years and brings to MVRU over 30 years of experience teaching humans how to develop safe, fair, and pleasurable relationships with horses through their pursuit of pleasure, companionship and sport.

Annie has been a CHA (Certified Horsemanship Association) Master Instructor and Assistant Clinic Instructor for over 10 years now and has been a PATH International Registered Instructor for 20+. She is a member of the US Eventing Association and Equestrian's Institute as well as being CPR, First Aid and AED certified and SafeSport trained.

Kameron Smith

Assistant Program Director, PATH Certified Instructor and Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning

Abe.jpgKameron grew up in a "horsey" household and has been riding for over 20 years now! She began volunteering with MVRU when she found herself in the Methow shoeing with her dad, but became a full time Valley resident in 2009. Kameron loved horses so much that she pursued a BS in Equine Pre-Vet/Pre-Graduate Studies and a BA in Equine Business Management from Otterbein University. While in Ohio, she rode on the university's collegiate IHSA and IDA teams. Now that she has graduated, she is back with us at MVRU! Kameron is a member of PATH International and CHA, as well as being First Aid/CPR/AED and SafeSport trained.

Jasmine Minbashian

 Part-Time PATH Certified Instructor

Jasmine has twenty years of experience working with various non-profits in the Pacific Northwest, including in the field of therapeutic horsemanship. She has competed in hunter/jumper shows and horse trials, but her true passion is dressage and riding to music.

She is certified as a therapeutic riding instructor through PATH International and also First Aid, AED, and CPR certified.



MVRU also receives additional staff support from Autumn Edwards and Jared Kutz. We are grateful for their hard work!
